Provide reliable nutrition and wellness information to the University Community. Promote healthy and safe dining experiences by keeping current with nutrition trends, dietary requirements and preferences. Holds meetings with students, faculty and staff regarding nutritional concerns. Calculate nutritional properties of menus, respond to inquiries. Identify common allergens in menu items. Present educational seminars. Work with Chef and Marketing to maintain accessibility of current information
: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or related field and one to three year experience with a minimum of 1 year clinical experience or dietetic, nutrition & wellness internship. Must be a Registered Dietitian or equivalent and the ability to obtain a Maryland license (if RD) within six months.
Must be detail oriented with excellent, organization, planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, oral & written communication skills. Must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Customer service and interpersonal skills to be able to relate to a diverse student, staff and faculty population
