To provide training of relevant staff in all divisions of the company on the implementation and delivery of effective health behavior change strategies (e.g. based on cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing). 
To provide nutrition and weight loss counseling via telephone, e-mail, chat, and message boards (or through other client communication tools) taking into consideration individual client needs including age, weight, nutrient requirements, knowledge and abilities, medical, economic and social situation. 
To participate in training of Customer Care Representatives and Medifast employees.
Assist with development and on-going support of a corporate employee weight management program and healthy lifestyle promotions.  May be asked to help organize and run behavioral classes/retreats as part of corporate wellness.

Other Requirements:
Master's Degree or Licensed Professional Counselor plus Dietetic Registration/Licensure or certification in weight management

Experience
1-3 years recent experience with cognitive behavioral therapy/training.
At least 1 year clinical dietetics experience preferred.
Position requires Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association and/or Licensed Dietitian/ Nutritionist status in the state of Maryland.

Knowledge & Skills Required
Experienced in cognitive behavioral therapy/training and motivational interviewing.
Familiarity with eating behavior assessment tools.
Language Skills: Ability to communicate with customers, other members of the team, physicians and co-workers. Ability to read, creatively write letters, articles, summaries and reports, and conform to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style. Ability to effectively present information to audiences with a variety of knowledge/skill levels while speaking confidently during large group presentations.
Ability to be self-directed, highly organized and proactive. Strong interest in health sciences and wellness. Ability to teach clients and staff. Flexibility with work schedule.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and be familiar with a Windows operating system including. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Requires ability to promptly conduct internet searches, navigate Medifast message boards, respond to e-mails and create word or excel documents

Position: Registered Dietitan

Job Description/Responsibilities/Salary/Benefits:
The Registered Dietitian plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates the nutritional components of food services for the facility. Provides guidance to the Dietary Manager in the operation of the Dietary Department. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Completes clinical duties and documentation accurately and timely (i.e., nutritional assessments, quarterly progress notes, progress notes on nutritional risk residents, MDSs, RAPs, care plans, discharge plans; conducts resident interviews; processes diet orders).

Counsels residents, their family members, and facility staff on sound nutritional practices to promote good health.

Plans menus and diets that meet the nutritional needs of residents in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Participates in various meetings and committees as appointed by the Administrator. Evaluates and implements recommendations from the facilitys committees.

Meets with the Dietary Manager on a regularly scheduled basis and solicits advice from interdepartmental supervisors concerning the operation of the dietary department. Assists in identifying and correcting problem areas and/or improvement of services.

Contributes to budgetary cost control. Complies with Corporate purchasing contracts and programs.

Oversees and provides routine in-service education to staff.

Ensures adherence to quality assurance processes by routinely auditing (i.e., meal service, dining, safety, sanitation, test tray, meal satisfaction, and clinical audits) the dietary areas and practices for compliance with current regulations and policies and reporting to the QA&A committee.  

Supervisory Responsibilities:
May assist in the supervision of the Food Services staff and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible. May be designated as the Dietary Department Head during the absence of the Dietary Manager.

Physical Demands and Environment:
Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, walk, and stand intermittently throughout the workday. May occasionally lift or move items of up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to hot/cold temperatures in kitchen/storage areas. Noise level may be above normal in the work environment. Subject to falls, cuts, burns from equipment and hot foods, infectious diseases, odors, etc. throughout the work day. Subject to frequent interruptions. Must possess senses (taste, smell, sight, and hearing), or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

One-year experience in a health care setting.

Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian.

Must meet state-specific requirements.

Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language. Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively with supervisor and staff members. Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public. Must be able to communicate with residents based on whatever maturity level the resident is currently functioning.  

Ability to analyze data, reports, clinical documentation, and problems and develop workable solutions and goals. Be able to interpret and implement written or oral programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Dietary Department. 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and weight, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
