MNT Reimbursement

We are providing the following information as a service to private practice RDs in Maryland.  It is very difficult to provide specifics regarding coverage for MNT for certain diseases. This would vary depending on the coverage selected by an individual's employer.

Always encourage patients to check with their insurance provider to see if a referral is necessary and to find out specifics regarding coverage availability for MNT services. Visits allowed and diseases covered may vary depending on patient's coverage package selected by their employer.
