Stars in Nutrition and Cancer lecture, Diet and Cancer Prevention: Chewing on the Human Complexities

Please join us for the upcoming NCI-sponsored Stars in Nutrition and Cancer lecture, Diet and Cancer Prevention: Chewing on the Human Complexities, on Tuesday, March 13 from 2-3 PM at the Lipsett Amphitheater, Building 10, NIH Main Campus, Bethesda, MD.


The lecture will be given by Johanna W. Lampe, PhD, RD, Full Member and Associate Division Director, Cancer Prevention Program, Public Health Sciences Division, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Research Professor, Department of Epidemiology, University of Washington, Seattle, WA.


After the meeting, attendees will be able to: outline mechanisms by which dietary constituents in plant foods lower cancer risk; describe the application of controlled feeding studies in humans to cancer prevention research; and describe the impact of host and microbial genotypes on response to diet and implications for prevention.


The event is free and open to the public. Registration is NOT required. The event is pre-approved by CDR for 1 credit for RDNs.
