Don't Let the "I" Word Intimidate You: Insurance
This Nutrition Billing Workshop will provide the steps needed for you to start your private practice and to apply to take health insurance in order to be able to receive insurance reimbursement on behalf of your clients. It provides an overview of the claims filing process for nutrition consultations.
Upon successful completion of this training, you will be able to:
- • Apply knowledge of payment and reimbursement models
- • Negotiate payment and reimbursement for clients/patients in order to promote access to care
- • Demonstrate effective problem solving and professional judgment to address a need
- • Apply proper documentation for Super Bill
When: Saturday, March 23, 2019
The workshop begins promptly at 8:30 am and concludes at 12:30 pm with short breaks in between.

She has presented on the benefits of accepting insurance, setting up a private nutrition practice, and billing logistics to hundreds of aspiring and current nutrition professionals across the country. Prior to joining Healthy Bytes, Kendall worked with a nutrition program at Columbia University, where she also earned her public policy graduate degree.
