Please join us for the upcoming NCI-sponsored Stars in Nutrition and Cancer lecture:


Energy Balance and Neoplasia: Do Cancers Care if Their Host is Hungry?


The lecture will take place on Tuesday, March 17th from 2-3 PM at the Lipsett Amphitheater, Building 10, NIH Main Campus, Bethesda, MD.


The lecture will be given by Michael Pollak, MD, Alexander-Goldfarb Research Chair in Medical Oncology, Professor of the Departments of Medicine and Oncology, Director of the Division of Cancer Prevention in the Department of Oncology, McGill University, Montreal, Canada.


After the meeting, attendees will be able to:
• Understand specific contexts in which cancer behavior is influenced by energy balance;
• Understand areas where epidemiologic data concerning energy balance are consistent with experimental data;
• Understand the role of insulin and other nutritionally regulated hormones on cancer risk; and
• Understand challenges to clinical applications of recent findings.


The event is free and open to the public. Registration is NOT required. The event is pending approved by CDR for 1 credit for RDNs.
