Position Description

- Full-time - 8:00am to 4:30pm - Day shift, Rotating weekend coverage required - Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) - Licensed Dietitian with Maryland Board of Dietetic Practice (LDN) As a member of the Clinical Nutrition Department at Levindale, the dietitian's primary responsibility will be to complete nutrition assessments for all residents, which includes the development of a care plan to promote and maintain a residents optimal nutritional status. As an vital member of the interdisciplinary team; the dietitian will evaluate, interpret, monitor and document the nutritional status and nutritional needs; including diet, supplement and enteral/parental nutrition recommendations, using established standards of care and practice guidelines. The dietitian will encourage the resident/family to participate in the development and review of the residents' plan of care. The dietitian will work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team, as well as the Food Service Department to ensure all residents are receiving optimum nutrition care. The dietitian will be responsible for participating in rounds and care plans meetings on a regular basis. The dietitian will serve as a nutrition expert on facility wide committees and will work closely with the Clinical Nutrition Manager and Director of Food Service to ensure a high level of care is provided at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

Masters, RD in Maryland
