The Baltimore Dietetic Association was organized in May of 1926. Miss Alma Bering who was active in the New York Dietetic Association, came to work in Baltimore, and realized that if the profession were to establish a place for itself in Maryland it needed an organization. She contacted her professional associates and ten dietitians responded.
