Reporting to the Director of Clinical Nutrition, this full-time Clinical Dietitian position is primarily focused on inpatient care, with opportunities to provide specialized nutrition services to a small outpatient population. In this role, you will deliver evidence-based medical nutrition therapy and nutrition support to patients from birth through 18 years of age.
What You'll Do
Provide comprehensive nutrition assessments, interventions, monitoring, and counseling for pediatric patients.
Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for infants, children, and adolescents with complex medical conditions.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
Deliver nutrition support recommendations and medical nutrition therapy using evidence-based practices.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on pediatric nutrition management.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Required
Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
Completion of accredited dietetic coursework, Dietetic Internship, and successful passage of the CDR Registration Examination. Candidates who passed the CDR exam prior to January 1, 2024, may qualify with a bachelor's degree and completion of required coursework and internship.
Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential and registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Current Maryland Dietitian-Nutritionist Licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Preferred
Pediatric clinical nutrition experience.
