Three years of experience including individual assessment and group education.
Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
Must be licensed as required by the jurisdiction of Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia, including continuing education necessary for renewal of license.
Second language desirable
Assesses patient nutrition requirements, develops and documents nutrition care plans
Counsels patients/family on nutrition intervention plans in person and through telemedicine.
Coordinates nutrition intervention with other aspects of medical care.
Plans, organizes, instructs and evaluates nutrition classes for patients, providers and staff.
Participates in updating education materials and revision of treatment protocols.
