Maryland Dietetics in Health Care Communities is a State Dietetic Practice Group. Our members are members of the ADA Practice group “Dietetics in Health Care Communities” who live in Maryland; or are members of the Maryland Dietetic Association and the ADA practice group. Our members serve clients and provide leadership in practice and are committed to the nutrition health and safety of individuals in a variety of settings which include:

◊ Assisted living centers ◊ Continuing care retirement communities
◊ Retirement villages ◊ Hospice

◊ Alcohol and substance abuse facilities ◊ Physicians’ offices and clinics
◊ Health maintenance organizations ◊ Education programs

State practice groups fall under the jurisdiction of the State Affiliate Association. We currently have over 150 MD DHCC members. We provide continuing education for our members. Each year we sponsor a Fall Workshop, a Spring Workshop and a Networking Event.

Our Mission: Empower MD DHCC members to be food and nutrition leaders.

Our Vision: MD DHCC members optimize the nation’s health through food and nutrition.

How do I join? If you are a member of the ADA Practice group Dietetics in Health Care Communities, and reside in MD or chose MDA as your affiliate association you are automatically a member of MD DHCC.
