The Clinical Dietitian operates under the direct supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager. The Clinical Dietitian coordinates the nutritional aspects of patient care in a wide variety of inpatient settings. The Clinical Dietitian collaborates with other hospital services as appropriate to implement the nutrition care plan. The Clinical Dietitian serves as a resource for promoting nutrition education within the organization.
-Position requires a Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field from an accredited college or university.
-Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited dietetics program.
-Maryland State licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist is required.
-Credentialed Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required.
Position requires 1-2 years of experience as a dietitian/nutritionist; one year experience as a clinical dietitian in an acute care facility is preferred. Recent graduates will be considered but must be registered and licensed in the State of Maryland.
